Fleming Relishing Must-Win Cup Tie
Brandon Fleming says he and his Under-23 team-mates are relishing tonight's Premier League Cup clash with Brighton & Hove Albion despite the pressure of having to win in order to keep alive their hopes of progressing from the group stage.
The Tigers currently occupy fourth spot in Group H after claiming four points from four fixtures in the competition so far - ensuring they need to claim maximum points from their remaining games in order to book their place in the last 16 of the competition.
Jon Beale's side claimed their one and only win away at Brighton with a 3-2 victory back in November and the 18-year-old left-back is hoping to see the Tigers repeat the feat this evening.
"We know we've got the quality to win games - no matter who the opposition is," he said. "We believe we can beat any side at this level.
"We know that we need to win the game in order to keep alive our hopes of progressing from the group stage.
"We know it's going to be a tough game, just as it was the first time we played them in the competition at the beginning of November.
"We came out on top that night with a 3-2 win, but it was a tough, tough game. They're a good side and we really had to battle hard for the win on the road.
"They come to us now and we have to produce a similar performance in order to get the result we both want and need.
"We know it will be tough again but, as a group, we're all looking forward to the game and we want to build on recent results and performances.
"The Premier League Cup is a great competition to be involved in as it gives us the opportunity to test ourselves against better quality opposition.
"We've got a good record against Category One teams in this competition and we'll be looking to keep that going against Brighton tonight."
