Edwards Pens One-Year Deal To Join The Tigers

The Tigers have signed striker Jonathan Edwards after the youngster enjoyed a successful trial with the Club.

19-year-old Edwards impressed when playing for the Under-21s last month and having also shown his ability in training, the Club moved to sign the former Peterborough United man on a one-year deal.

Speaking after signing, Edwards said: “I really enjoyed my trial period here and everybody made me feel welcome.

“I was pleased to get my chance to play for the Under-21s in a couple of games and I’m delighted I showed enough to earn a contract.

“I’m really happy that I have now signed for the Club and I’m already looking forward to next season.”

Edwards, who made his first team debut as an 18-year-old for Peterborough United and made three senior appearances in total, is expected to form part of Tony Pennock’s Under-21 squad when the Academy return for the 2016/17 campaign.
