Beale: Get Behind The Boys
Jon Beale is urging Tigers' fans to show their support for his Under-23 side as they look to end their home campaign on a positive note against Millwall at the KCOM Stadium on Saturday.
The Development Squad have been in impressive form of late, coming into this weekend's game on the back of three successive wins following their recent victories over Burnley, Bristol City and Ipswich Town.
Beale's side will take to the KCOM pitch immediately after the first-team's home fixture against Sheffield Wednesday - with the game scheduled to kick-off around 5.15pm - and the Tigers' Academy Manager is hoping to see a sizeable crowd to stay behind and support his youngsters following the Sky Bet Championship clash.
Speaking ahead of Saturday’s Professional Development League clash, Beale said: “The fans have been fantastic in supporting the Under-23s whenever we've played at the KCOM this season and in previous campaigns. Hopefully, they'll turn out in their numbers once again to get behind the boys at the weekend.
"It's our final home game of the season and, coming into the game in good form, we want to sign off in front of our own fans on a positive note.
"I can't stress how important it is for our Academy players to experience playing at the KCOM at a young age. It's something that can only be beneficial to and aid their development. That's how we've always seen it and why we've always been big advocates of playing so many games at our first-team stadium.
"I can't stress how much myself, my staff and the players appreciate the support we receive at every game - whether it's at the KCOM or North Ferriby United. We're very grateful to the fans and, as I say, hopefully they will take the opportunity to get behind the boys one last time."
