Annan Relishing Leeds Clash
Will Annan insists he and his Under-23 team-mates are relishing this afternoon's Yorkshire Derby clash with Leeds United.
The Tigers boast an impressive record against their Yorkshire rivals at Professional Development League level since moving up to the Category Two games programme, registering three wins and a draw in the four previous meetings between the two sides.
And Annan, who made his return from injury after three months on the sidelines in Monday night's 5-1 home win over Crewe Alexandra, is hoping the Tigers can add consistency to their performances in the second half of the season.
"Leeds is always a big game for us, no matter what level we’re playing at," he said.
"They’re always competitive games between the two teams and I’m looking forward to being involved in the game after it was postponed at the back end of last year.
"We’ve had a few tough games this season and we’d have liked to have had a few more wins this season but we’ve got to look to the future. Derby games are always feisty are it's one that all the lads are relishing.
"I thought we were brilliant on Monday night and the game felt easy at times which says a lot about our performance on the night.
"We scored five great goals and it was like we played consistently last season. Hopefully, we can take that level of performance into the second half of the season."
